Ladies of Charity

Coming from all Nashville parishes, the Ladies help over 10,000 people a year. Their Thrift Shop is open twice a year, their Welfare Office distributes 750 baskets for the needy at Christmas, and scholarships are awarded to students attending Catholic high schools. Meetings are quarterly.

Loaves & Fishes

Help prepare and serve a noon meal to the homeless of Nashville at Holy Name Church on the third Saturday of each month.

Pro Life Representative

Contact: Assistance Needed (Call Church Office to Volunteer)

Participate in Pro-Life activities and support Pro-Life organizations such as Grace Pregnancy Resource Center, Caring Choices of Catholic Charities, and Tennessee Right to Life.

Room in the Inn

From November through March, help host 10-12 homeless men every Friday night, providing a warm meal, shower, laundry assistance, and place to sleep in the Holy Rosary Gym. On Saturday, breakfast is served and a sack lunch prepared for each guest. Volunteers needed as meal coordinators, cooks, drivers and inn keepers. These positions can be evening, morning, or overnight assistance.

Safe Haven

Providing temporary housing for families, it is the only shelter that accepts families with teen boys. Different groups prepare dinner each night.

Second Harvest

Part of an ecumenical effort of several Donelson churches, volunteers distribute boxes of groceries to those in need. Donations of food are always welcome.
