Consecration to St Joseph Book Study

We are offering a 33-day study to prepare for the Consecration to St. Joseph on May 1st.

There are two sessions to choose from. The first will begin on Monday, March 29th at 9:30 in the morning. Please contact Emily Carr for information on this session at 615 948-6178.

The second session will begin on Tuesday evening March 30th, after Mass. Please contact Jan Stermin at janstermin@gmail.com for information on this session. We will meet in the larger conference room of the Church office and a zoom link will be available for both sessions.

We will use the book Consecration to St. Joseph: The Wonders of Our Spiritual Father by Fr. Donald Calloway, MIC. It is available at Sr. Mary’s Bookstore or on Amazon.

We hope you will join us either in person or virtually!

All men of the parish are invited to join a new group called The Men of St Joseph.

The Men of St. Joseph (Mens Group) is a community of Christian men, united under the Catholic Church, who meet weekly to pray together and encourage each other to be the spiritual leaders of their families. All men are welcome. This lay person-led group has weekly meetings that consist of prayer, reading the upcoming Sunday’s Gospel, and an open discussion of a practical application of that Gospel in today’s world. This weekly prescription helps give men the tools, confidence, and support of other men, to become the spiritual leaders we are all called to be. We have two weekly opportunities to meet:

  • Thursday evenings 7:30pm
  • Saturday mornings 9:00am

Both are held here at Holy Rosary Church in the St. Jerome conference room. Meetings last up to an hour. We hope to see you there!

Divine Mercy Chaplet

Join Father Steiner every Wednesday in December from 3:30 – 3:45 pm to pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet. You may join him in church or pray at home.

Prayed on ordinary rosary beads, The Chaplet of The Divine Mercy is an intercessory prayer that extends the offering of the Eucharist, so it is especially appropriate to use it after having received Holy Communion at Holy Mass.

“By this Novena, [of Chaplets] I will grant every possible grace to souls.”

The Lord requested that this Chaplet be said not only by Sr. Faustina, but by others: “Encourage souls to say the Chaplet that I have given you.”

It is likewise appropriate to pray the Chaplet during the “Hour of Great Mercy” — three o’clock each afternoon (recalling the time of Christ’s death on the cross). In His revelations to St. Faustina, Our Lord asked for a special remembrance of His Passion at that hour.

Jesus said to Sr. Faustina; “Say unceasingly this chaplet that I have taught you. Anyone who says it will receive great MERCY at the hour of death. Priests will recommend it to sinners as the last hope. Even the most hardened sinner, if he recites this chaplet even once, will receive grace from My infinite Mercy. “I want to give unimaginable graces to those who trust in My Mercy”

Holy Rosary cooks will be asked to provide a dinner meal, breakfast items and sack lunches weekly. All food items are to be brought hot to Holy Rosary (in disposable containers) then everything will be delivered to the location that will be assigned.

In the meantime, we’re accepting donations of:

  • q-tips

  • readers in 225-300 magnifications
  • new socks, boxers
  • undershirts
  • long underwear
