Your Finance Council
The Code of Canon Law calls for the pastor of a parish to appoint individuals as members of The Parish Finance Council, a body of parishioners called to assist the pastor with the administration of parish business and financial matters. According to the The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB): “An active, well-formed Parish Finance Council is a key element for promoting the financial health of a parish, assuring accountability and assisting the pastor with his temporal responsibilities”.
