Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception

Friday, December 8th, is the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception, a Holy Day of Obligation.

The Immaculate Conception means that Mary was conceived without original sin or its stain—that’s what “immaculate” means: without stain. Mary was preserved from these defects by God’s grace; from the first instant of her existence she was in the state of sanctifying grace and was free from the corrupt nature original sin brings.

As Christians, we believe that one day we will all be raised in a glorious form – caught up and rendered immaculate to spend eternity with Jesus. As the first person to say “yes” to the good news of Jesus, Mary exemplifies the hope of the blessings we will all one day be given.

Please join us for Mass on this special solemnity to pray for the intercession of Mary, Immaculate!

New system for Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament at Holy Rosary

We are excited to be implementing a new online signup system for Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament at Holy Rosary! This will allow you to access all Holy Rosary Adoration Schedules, including both Ordinary Fridays as well as First Friday 24-Hour Adoration opportunities (as well as any special adoration events that may come up) with a single point of access. It will also allow you to make regular commitments if you are interested in volunteering for the same time each Friday for example or want to be contacted to be a substitute.

Those who have previously used Sign Up Genius to volunteer should have received an email with information.

If you did not receive an email, please click this link to sign up.

October Daily Rosary

Dedicated as a parish to the Most Holy Rosary, we wish to celebrate October as the Month of the Rosary in a profound way; by having a daily opportunity to come together to pray this powerful prayer as a community. We wish to become ever more faithful disciples by spending this month in contemplation of the mysteries of Christ through the Rosary which Pope Pius XII called “a compendium of the entire Gospel”.

We hope you will join us multiple times in October to join with our parish community to pray the rosary!

Tuesday, August 15th: The Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary

This significant feast day recalls the spiritual and physical departure of the mother of Jesus Christ from the earth when both her soul and her body were taken into the presence of God.

Venerable Pope Pius XII confirmed this belief about the Virgin Mary as the perennial teaching of the Church when he defined it formally as a dogma of the Catholic faith in 1950, invoking papal infallibility to proclaim, “that the Immaculate Mother of God, the ever-Virgin Mary, having completed the course of her earthly life, was assumed body and soul into heavenly glory.”

We will celebrate this feast day and Holy Day of Obligation on Tuesday, August 15th at 8am, 12pm and 6pm.
Please join us!

ALERT: Saturday vigil Mass and all Sunday Masses to be held in Gym.

The air conditioning in the church is not working and can not be repaired in time for masses this weekend, so Father Baker has decided to hold mass in the gym on Saturday evening and for both Sunday masses.

We need volunteers to help put away chairs and the tarp after 11:00 mass on Sunday. If you can stay after mass or return to the gym around 12:15 on Sunday, it would be greatly appreciated! Many hands make light work .. and this is a great opportunity for service hours for any young people.
